1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Went and ate out at a resturant both Thanksgiving AND Christmas day, no mess, no bother. What a beautiful thing.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions and will you make more for next year?
Last year, not so much I didn't even log it in my LJ, looking back to the previous year, I did do better in being more selective in my book purchases, but I can do better still. As for being more productive, all around, no.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No

4. Did anyone close to you die?
hmm not really, a friend died xmas day, hubby & I used to be close, but not so much in the last three years.

5. What countries did you visit?
none, unless you count insanoville courtesy of my mother & children.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
More time, more money, less aggravation

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
None in particular

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
actually started lossing signifigant weight.

9. What was your biggest failure?
to have more patience

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Had hernia surgery, and now left knee is in chronic pain. Pretty sure it isn't arthritis, at least not alone, more of muscle/tendon pain.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Hot Tub!

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
none that I can think of

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Basically the supporters of the McCain/Palin team and the tactics they tried to employ, supported in others, or at the very least didn't try to distance themselves from, all to win the election

14. Where did most of your money go?
Home renovations, the kids assorted predicaments.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The kitchen remodel, it turned out awesome.

16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
Bad Things - Jace Everett Not because it was all that bad, 2007 by far was the worst year to date. I just like the song, made famous by being attached to HBO show True Blood.

about the same I think

thinner, but not by much. Work in progress

about the same

reading & chatting online

procrastinating

spent it as usual, at MIL. This time we went out for chinese dinner it was awesomely good and no clean up after!

Don't believe so

World War Z, followed by The Host & Twilight series

Nintedo DS & My Weight Loss Coach

A purse like my SIL has, looks like it is made from pants, not your generic cut off jeans type, this has hard handles, small enough that it might have been made using girl/child black jeans and embelished with some charms, a little lace and stuff. Not overly girly, but cute. I'd buy the damn thing myself, have looked online and seen nothing hardly close, I am thinking it's handmade local to MA. *grumble*

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Do I have one this year? Maybe Hellboy II, I haven't seen DK or Quantum Solace yet, Twilight was good but probably not the "best" of the year.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Nothing much other than turn a year older, Hubby took me out to lunch. I turned 49

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
to have lost more weight earlier

comfy. simple

Hubby & good friends

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
hmm I guess I would go with Stephen Moyer and Alexander S-something I can't even remotely spell. lol The two vampalish vamps from True Blood. Other than my standing obsession with Alan Shore & Denny Crane.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The election on the whole, Sarah Palin specfically

37. Who did you miss?
Catherine as always, and my step-daughter and family.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
I met some new folks online, who I hope to meet in person

You don't always get what you deserve, and you often don't deserve what you get. Be thankful for both.
